PROJECT SUMMARY 2021

The Baseline Study and Data capturing process was completed on 26th August, 2021. We presented and shared the study in November, 2021 with HUL for their perusal. It has been attached along with this presentation for further review.

5 Bought Leaf Factories have been engaged with as pilots for the project. They have a production capacity of around 9 million kgs of which only 50% of teas (only 3.5-4 mkgs), as per Tea Board directives, HUL may pick up which includes the lower and medium quality tea that was bought in the past, to continue.

1. Factories identify their personnel whom they would like to train. We recommend a mix of small growers, internal employees, agents, etc., this would allow a holistic reach

2. Identified personnel would be given classroom and on field training on plucking, spraying, pruning and other related activities

3. We continue to provide support over phone or through visits as and when required

4. We also provide support to businesses helping them connect to potential buyersWe also adopt different approaches, including a market-driven approach to work with the STGs to increase their farm productivity, income diversification and enhancement.
