How to Dissolve Urea for a Foliar Fertilizer

While plants use nitrogen to produce amino acids that help make the proteins that plants need to grow, too much nitrogen encourages stems and leaves at the expense of roots, flowers and fruits. Too little nitrogen stunts the plants’ growth. Applying the correct amount of nitrogen and other nutrients varies according to the plants’ needs and the soil composition. Use a soil test kit or send soil samples out for analysis to determine soil deficiencies and fertilizer recommendations.
