- Scope establish Model farms to showcase best agricultural practices in line with trustea protocols.
- Candidates with plus 10 years experience in working with Small tea growers and Bought Leaf Factories on quality and sustainability practices based in Assam preferably in district next to the location of pilots and their small farmers suppliers Tinsukia Dibrugarh Digboi Sonari Moran currently required. Experience with other crops including tea would be an advantage. This is a contract part-time assignment for 10-15 days a month and renewal on merit and extension of contract with HUL and other parties.
- Plucking standards with hand as also with mechanical devises like shears. Technics of spraying both pesticides PPC approved and foliar as per IPM advisories. Help establish Regenerative agriculture practices on the farms. Pruning fertiliser and soil and water drainage activities in line with best practices.
- Outcome better yield, better quality of raw material better quality of tea. Creating better income and livelihood for all stakeholders including a superior product for the end consumer. ASSAM TEA!
- They have to work and supplement the efforts with NRB consultants on the model farms and training to the farmers as programmed by the Director NRB
We also adopt different approaches, including a market-driven approach to work with the STGs to increase their farm productivity, income diversification and enhancement.
